As its name suggests MJP started life at Mitcham Junction in 1932 as a shop, selling stationery and doing small print jobs, run by Mr W E Kelham. After the war, from 1946 onwards, printing became more dominant.
In 1955, son John Kelham joined the company and production increased considerably. Technology was changing with increasing speed and a move to larger premises became necessary. In 1967 MJP moved to a freehold factory in Sutton and expanded considerably. Litho process came to the fore and letterpress was discontinued.
John’s son Myles now runs MJP and has taken it into another league. The majority of the print work is now full colour and the company client list includes many of the major names in the business world...
